Today I learned about media hits, also known as bulk clips. Sometimes various newspapers and media outlets will take an article ver batem and spread it using their own sites. I printed out each artile from each news outlet to keep for our records. Later in the day Megan took me on a tour of the departments in Holloway Hall. She showed me where I would eventually deliever media scans every day and to the publications hallway where many graphic designers work.
Reflection :
Waking up at 7a.m. to put on business casual was not easy. However it is something I am going to have to get used to as I get older and move into the professional world so I am glad that I have this internship to get used to it. The coffee from Mr.Aurthers Cafe in Perdue definitley helped. Printing the media hits was a bit tedious, since it felt like there were hundreds of them, but it was nice to start off with something slow while I waited for the coffee to kick in. Media hits were also very interesting to me because I had never realized how many news outlets all over the USA could use one artile in their different publications. I also hadn't realized how many different offices and departments there are in Holloway Hall.
