Today was my last day at working as a practicum intern at the SU public relations office. Alison, the other practicum student, and I wanted to show our appreciation to Megan and the rest of the office for how much they experience they have given us this semester. Because Megan and I had spoken about how it was dificult to find lactose free snacks for her, I made her a batch of banana bread muffins, which do not have milk in them. Alison made her a Washington Nationals coaster because they had bonded over both loving the Nationals. We also gave her a card that we had both signed which thanked her for everything she had done for us.

Today I spent the day writing hometown press releases for the Big Event. I had to leave the "major" part of the press release template that they give us blank because SGA had not sent us the students majors yet.

I also sent press releases and posted them on the web for Jason.

Reflection:

After working in the SU PR office all semester it did not feel like today was my last day. I got along with Megan very well, as well as the others in the office, which made coming in to work every day enjoyable. I feel as though I have already gained so much knowledge from being here for only a short amount of time. I am so appreciative of the opportunity to work alongside such personable professionals and can only hope to find colleagues as great when I graduate and find a job myself.
