Today I jumped around doing a variety of tasks depending on what Megan felt was most important at the time. First she taught us how to write the grads list press release. The grads list press releases are very similar to the deans list press releases which I had previously worked on, except that they include more information about the student, and generally there is fewer people graduating than there are making the deans list. After I completed my grad list press releases, I printed them and initialed them to be edited, just like I would do for the grad list press release. Then I did messy clips, copying them if necessary and addressing the copies if they needed to be sent to any faculty members, and filing them. After that I searched and printed bulk clips and finally answered my first phone call.

Reflection :

Doing bulk clips is really tedious because it is just finding the same article and printing it out over and over and over again. There can be hundreds of them from a variety of news stations and papers. I was happy to finally answer my first phone call, and it wasn’t as scary as I thought it would be.
